✨ Nikon 24 70Mm F2 8 Vr Review

Jan 24, 2017. I am currently looking at getting a 24-70mm f2.8 lens for my Nikon D810, I have been seriously impressed with the abilities of the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 and was wondering if the Tamron 24-70mm would be able to match the same quality. The many reviews that I have seen on the 24-70mm Tamron have been glowing and some even saying that Above: Nikon 24-70/2.8E ED VR on a D810 at 70mm, f2.8, 64 ISO. Above: Nikon 24-70/2.8G ED on a D800 at 70mm, f2.8, 100 ISO. Above: Tamron SP 24-70/2.8 VC on a D800 at 70mm, f2.8, 100 ISO. When compared to its predecessor and its main competitor the new lens shows the best FX-corner of the bunch. And at the shorter focal lengths by a large margin! The Nikon 16-35mm f/4G VR does quite well at 24mm, but not at the same level of the 24-70mm f/2.8G, which is incredibly sharp in comparison in the center of the frame. When it comes to the corners, however, the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G doesn’t do nearly as well thanks to its heavy field curvature. One can obtain better corner results with the 24 Nikon Z 800mm f6.3 VR S review; Nikon Z 400mm f2.8 TC VR S review; Nikon Z 28-75mm f2.8 review; Nikon Z 24-120mm f4 S review; Nikon Z 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 review; Nikon Z 40mm f2 review; Nikon Z 28mm f2.8 review; Nikon Z MC 50mm f2.8 review; Nikon Z MC 105mm f2.8 VR S review; Laowa 25mm f2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro review; Laowa 15mm f4.5 Zero-D Shift Physically, the Z 24-200mm f4.0-6.3 VR is a very small and lightweight lens making it an ideal travel companion. Even compared to the diminutive Z 24-70mm f4.0 S it is only 73g heavier and 6mm longer – at 24mm focal length. Combined with a maximum magnification of 1:3.6 at a minimum object distance of 0.7m the lens looks like a real all Canon's RF f2.8L lenses are only as expensive as Nikon's Z lenses. 100 more 100 less. Only unique Canon RF lenses like 50mm f1.2 and 28-70mm f2.0 are expensive but they don't have a rival in the market yet. Plus, Canon 35mm f1.8, 85mm f2.0 and 24-105mm f4-7.1 lenses are quite inexpensive. I think Nikon wins on body prices today, not lens prices. Perhaps interesting to know for other members. I just had my trusty 24-70 repaired after 8 years of hard use. The zoom and focus rings were getting stiffer as many users will recognise (still usable though), the rubber was getting very worn, and during a recent event I tripped on a staircase and dropped the camera + lens where it got a couple of pretty hard knocks. Nikon engineers did a remarkable job by optically redesigning the lens and adding all the bells and whistles we have come to expect from the latest and greatest. Although some compromises had to be made, Nikon still managed to bring us the best 24-70mm on the market. NIKON D810 + 24-70mm f/2.8 @ 38mm, ISO 64, 2/1, f/8.0 hwxV.
